Products: Plejad Copter Control

FEATURES

Plejad Copter Control (PCC) is a small electronics board (51x51cm) for controlling a Quadrocopter/Multicopter:

  • 3-Axis flight attitude stabilization using excellent MEMS gyroscope sensors
  • Support for multicopters with up to 8 separately controlled brushess engines via 4 PPM outputs (8 using the PCC Extender) and I2C Bus
  • 2 Servo outputs and 4 remotely switchable LED ports
  • Connector for LCD Terminal for adjustment of settings at the airfield
  • PPM sum signal decoding of up to 8 channels
  • Buzzer and LED for voltage monitoring and settings selection

PCC is built around a standard Arduino board and fully based on through-hole components.

Unique:

  • Automatic teach-in of RC channel assignments and control throws (incl. channel reverse)
  • Adjustment and fine tuning via transmitter and LCD display (no PC Software required)
  • LCD Display Terminal for configuration and diagnostics
  • Updateable via USB
  • Serial telemetry functions (optional via Bluetooth)
  • Future extension boards can be connected via I2C bus or serial UART connector
  • Future processor upgrades are possible by replacing the Arduino board

BUILD

To fly your PCC copter, some manual work is required... Two things are needed:

  1. A PCC printed circuit board to be equipped with electronic parts (available here )
  2. The electronic parts (sensors, etc.), to be placed on te PCB. These can easily be ordered via the Internet. The PCC construction manual contains the exact part numbers and links.

Alternatively, a complete kit can be ordered in our online shop. The kit contains both the PCB and the required electronic parts.

Assembly takes approximately 1 hour and no SMD equipment is required:
